After the search for SAP telephones is com-
plete, select the call list again in COMAND/
the audio system.
X
In the call list, select the number of the
mobile phone that you wish to authorise.
The displayed number is also the 16-digit
PIN.
If more than ten mobile phones have been
found, search through the call list in the
following sequence:
R
last numbers dialled
R
missed calls
R
answered calls
If the phone number is not displayed in full,
switch to the multifunction display. To do
this, press the NUM button on the audio
system.
X
Note down the 16-digit PIN.
X
Call back the displayed telephone number.
X
When prompted, enter the PIN displayed in
COMAND/the audio system/the multi-
function display into the mobile phone
within 20 seconds and confirm. If authori-
sation has been successful, you will hear an
ascending tune.
X
Depending on the mobile phone used, you
may have to confirm a connection query
from the telephone module on the mobile
phone.
The mobile phone must be set to "auto-
matic"/"authorised: yes"; see the mobile
phone operating instructions.
X
In the audio system, enter the SIM card PIN
and confirm if the system prompts you to
do so.
Connecting a mobile phone to the
telephone module
Establishing a Bluetooth
®
connection
between a mobile phone and the telephone
module is only possible if:
R
there is currently no active Bluetooth
®
con-
nection between the telephone module and
another mobile phone
R
there is currently no active SAP or HFP
Bluetooth
®
connection between the tele-
phone module and another device
R
there is no SIM card in the telephone mod-
ule.
During an active Bluetooth
®
connection
between a mobile phone and the telephone
module, the telephone functions are available
exclusively on the telephone module. The
telephone functions are temporarily inactive
on the mobile phone connected.
Connecting automatically
COMAND/the audio system always searches
for the last connected mobile phone.
If no connection can be made to the most
recently connected mobile phone, the system
searches for the mobile phone that was con-
nected before that one.
The SIM card PIN entered during authorisa-
tion is stored on the telephone module if this
option has been selected in the settings
(
page 19). When establishing a Blue-
tooth
®
connection, re-entering the PIN is only
necessary if the SIM PIN has been changed.
Connecting manually
After a connection has been terminated, you
can establish another connection manually.
