filter to reduce bad odors and remove
many pollutants from air entering
the vehicle

recirculation air mode (5) if carbon
monoxide or nitric oxides in air
exceed a predetermined level;
when pollution drops below the
threshold value, the system
switches off the recirculation air
mode and returns to fresh air mode
