Vehicle safety

WARNING
Before starting to install non-MB bodies or equip-
ment, please read the relevant sections of this Body
& Equipment Guideline, the instructions and infor-
mation from the equipment supplier and the detailed
operator's manual for the basic vehicle. You could
otherwise fail to recognize dangers, which could
result in injury to yourself or others.
Notes on vehicle safety
We recommend to use genuine Mercedes-Benz parts,
major assemblies, modification or accessory parts
which are suitable for the respective vehicle model.
Do not use parts, assemblies, conversion parts or
accessories that are not recommended, as these may
compromise safety, durability or product integrity.

Note
Please ensure that you observe the national vehi-
cle certification regulations because body-related
vehicle modifications can result in the upfitter being
legally obliged to have the vehicle recertified. This
applies in particular, to:
•
modifications which change the vehicle category
under certification legislation
•
modifications which could endanger road users,
or
•
modifications which adversely affect exhaust
emissions or noise levels.
