Important safety information

WARNING
There are moving components inside the engine
compartment. Even when the ignition is switched off,
certain components may continue to run or may start
running again without warning, e.g. the radiator fan.
There is a risk of injury!
If you perform any work in the engine compartment:

Switch the ignition off
•
Never reach into the danger area of moving com
-
ponents, e.g. the sweep of the fan
• Keep your clothing away from the moving parts.

WARNING
Certain components on the engine may be very hot.
There is a risk of injury when working on the engine!
Leave the engine to cool down if possible.
Starting the engine and increasing the engine speed

Hold down the external engine start/stop button
:
until
the engine starts. The engine runs at idle speed.
or
M
Hold down the external engine start/stop button
:
until the engine starts and the desired engine speed is
reached. The engine speed starts to increase after about
3 seconds.
When the external engine start/stop button
:
is
released, the engine runs at the currently set speed.
The engine speed can be increased up to the maximum go-
verned rpm.

Tilt the cab back to the driving position, see page 21.
Before starting and stopping the engine

Apply parking brake.

Switch electronic ignition lock to drive position.

Shift transmission to neutral.
