C entral Locking System
The e n tire v e h ic le m ay be lo c k e d or
u n lo c k e d w ith th e c e n tra l lo c k in g s y s ­
tem by:
• Using th e m a s te r o r valet key in
e ith e r fro n t d o o r.
• U sing th e m a s te r key in th e ta il­
g a te lo ck.
• P ushing d o w n /p u llin g up the
in te rio r d o o r lo c k b u tto n at e ith e r
fro n t d o o r o r tailgate.
The c e n tra l lo c k in g sy s te m lo c k s o r
u n lo c k s all d o o rs and th e fue l fille r
flap.
W hen lo c k in g th e car, all d o o r lo c k
b u tto n s s h o u ld m ove d o w n (the ta il­
gate b u tto n s h o u ld m ove a least half­
w ay d o w n ). If any b u tto n stays in the
up p o s itio n , th e re s p e c tiv e d o o r is n o t
p ro p e rly c lo s e d . O pe n th e d o o r, pu sh
th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n d o w n and clo s e
th e d o o r c o rre c tly .
The c e n tra l lo c k in g s y s te m can be
e n ga ge d fro m in sid e th e v e h ic le by
p u s h in g d o w n th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n
on th e d riv e r-s id e , p a s s e n g e r-s id e o r
tailga te , p ro v id e d th e d o o r on the
d riv e r-s id e is p ro p e rly c lo s e d . O n the
p a s s e n g e r-s id e d o o r and tailga te , th e
c e n tra l lo c k in g s y s te m can on ly be
e n g a g e d if th e key is re m o v e d fro m
the ig n itio n s w itc h a n d /o r is re in ­
s e rte d in the ig n itio n s w itc h w ith o u t
be in g tu rn e d (key in p o s itio n
0
).
If th e c a r has be en lo c k e d fro m th e
o u ts id e , th e a n ti-th e ft alarm w ill co m e
on if a d o o r is o p e n e d fro m th e inside.
W hen e n g a g in g th e c e n tra l lo c k in g
sy s te m fro m th e ta ilg a te , the ta ilg a te
w ill rem ain lo c k e d w h e n u n lo c k in g the
ca r fro m e ith e r fr o n t d o o r. The ta ilg a te
can on ly th e n be u n lo c k e d b y using
th e m a s te r key in th e ta ilg a te lo ck.
T he rea r d o o rs can be in d e p e n d e n tly
u n lo c k e d fro m th e in side by firs t p u ll­
ing th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n up and th e n
p u llin g th e ha nd le in th e d o o r trim
panel. To re lo c k th e re s p e c tiv e d o o r,
p u s h th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n d o w n
again.
