SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the User Instructions carefully before use
Always follow these basic safety instructions when using electrical appliances.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Never leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the mains supply voltage.
Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug before cleaning, and when not in use.
Do not pull the power cord to disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
Do not use or place the appliance on, or near hot surfaces.
Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to come into contact
with hot surfaces.
Do not touch hot parts. Use the handle and knobs.
Never poke any objects into the openings in the appliance
– risk of electric shock. If bread gets
stuck in the appliance, pull out the plug, turn the appliance upside down, and carefully shake out
the bread.
Do not place the appliance close to curtains or furniture, to avoid a fire hazard. Leave enough free
space around the appliance to ensure proper ventilation.
Do not move the appliance when in use.
Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer
– risk of personal
injury.
Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of flammable liquids or gases.
Only use the appliance for its intended purpose. The appliance is only intended for household use.
Never use the appliance outdoors.
Do not place the appliance directly below a power outlet.
Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface.
A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to
ensure safe use.
