TROUBLESHOOTING
The troubleshooting guide is used to identify the causes of common problems and how they can be rectified. Contact your dealer if you
experience a problem that is not included in this troubleshooting guide.
Technical problem
Symptom
Possible cause
Action
The appliance does not start.
Fuse or switch tripped.
Replace or reset fuse or switch. Disconnect any other appliances
connected to the same circuit.
No power supply.
Check that the appliance is switched on and that the panel is
properly closed.
The panel is not properly closed.
Check that the power cord is plugged in and that the power point
is supplied with voltage. Check that the panel is properly closed
and locked.
The water does not pump out.
The drain hose is clinched
Check the drain hose
The filter is blocked.
Check and clean the coarse filter according for cleaning the filter.
The sink drain is blocked.
Check that the sink drain is working properly. Clear the sink drain,
if necessary.
General problems

Foaming
Unsuitable detergent.
Only use detergents intended for dishwashers. Open the panel and
wait until the foam has dissolved. Pour 3.75 l of cold water into the
dishwasher. Close the panel and run a wash programme to pump
out the water. Repeat, if necessary.
Rinse-aid spillage.
Wipe up any spilled rinse-aid immediately.
Stains inside the appliance.
Coloured detergent has been
used.
Only use uncoloured detergent.
White deposits inside the
appliance.
Hard/mineral-rich water.
Clean the inside of the appliance with a sponge moistened with a
detergent for dishwashers. Wear rubber gloves. Do not use other
detergents – risk of foaming.
Rust stains on metal objects
The objects are not resistant to
corrosion
Salt in the dishwater, because
the appliance has not be run
after filling with salt.
Always run a quick programme without dishes and without the
Turbo function (if available) after filling with dishwasher salt.
The lid on the container for
softener salt is loose.
Check the seal and tighten the lid.
Noise
Symptom

Knocking noise during
dishwashing.
The rinse arm is knocking
against an object.
Stop the appliance and move the object.
Rattling noise during
dishwashing.
An object is moving when it is
touched by the water jets.
Stop the appliance and move the object.
Knocking noise in the
water pipe.
Depends on the shape/or
diameter of the water pipe.
This does not affect the function of the dishwasher. Contact a
plumber, if necessary.
