USE
Before using for the first time
NOTE:
The appliance is only intended for grilling bread.
Grease the grill plates with a little cooking oil before using for the first time. Place some bread on the bottom
grill plate and grill it. When the bread is grilled, remove it from the appliance and throw it away. Pull out the
plug, allow the sandwich grill to cool, and then wipe the grill plates with a damp cloth.
Use
1.
Plug in the plug. The status lamp goes on and the sandwich grill warms up.
2.
Prepare the bread and filling while the sandwich grill is warming up.
3.
The green status lamp goes on when the sandwich grill is ready to use.
4.
For uniform, golden brown results, spread butter on the side of the bread touching the grill
plate.
5.
Put the slices of bread with the buttered sides against the bottom grill plate, add the filling,
and put on the top slices with the buttered sides up. You can also grill just one sandwich
as well. For perfect results the filling should be placed in the middle of the bread, so that
nothing leaks out onto the grill.
6.
Bring down the lid carefully against the bread until the sandwich grill closes tight. Make sure
the lock snaps shut.
7.
Open the sandwich grill after 6–8 minutes to see if the bread is grilled enough. You can stop
the grilling any time by pulling out the plug. The cooking time depends on the type of bread,
the filling, and personal taste.
8.
Open the lid and take out the sandwiches with a heat resistant plastic or wooden utensil.
9.
Pull out the plug after use.
NOTE:
• During the cooking the sandwich grill maintains a steady temperature, which results in the green
status light going on and off.
• Do not use such thick sandwiches that the sandwich grill will not close. Do not force down the
lid, this can damage the sandwich grill.
• Do not use sharp utensils that can damage the nonstick coating. Only use heat resistant utensils
made of plastic or wood.
• Pull out the plug and allow the sandwich grill to cool before removing the grill plates.
WARNING:
Do not touch the grill plates when in use – risk of burn injuries.
