4 Bath construction and operation
The large-area heating positioned on three sides produces a natural, continuous water circulation. The
illustration shows that the heat loss of the thermofluid is largest at the centre of the bath (1) since the
liquid is furthest away from the heating at this point. In this way the liquid at the bath centre is coolest and
sinks to the bottom. The water is therefore close to the heating (2). This heats the water again so that it
rises (3). The result is a continuous circulation and uniform temperature distribution.
