INTRODUCTION

To get the best out of your new 
apparatus, please read this user 
guide carefully before using it for the 

first time. We also recommend that 

you keep the instructions for future 
reference, so that you can remind 
yourself of the functions of your 
apparatus.

SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the apparatus

•  Incorrect use of this apparatus 

may cause personal injury and 
damage.

•  Use for its intended purpose 

only. The manufacturer is not 
responsible for any injury or 
damage resulting from incorrect 
use or handling (see also 
Guarantee Terms).

•  For connection to 20 V, 50 Hz 

only.

•  For domestic use only. Not for 

outdoor or commercial use. 

•  Always turn the apparatus off 

using the on/off button, and unplug 
it, when it is not in use. 

•  Please note that the apparatus will 

remain hot for a while after you 
switch it off. Always allow it to cool 
completely before you put it away.

•  Always keep the apparatus at 

a safe distance from flammable 

objects such as curtains, 
tablecloths or the like.

•  Never leave unattended when in 

use, and Keep an eye on children.

•  Caution! The plates of the hair 

straightener get very hot. They 
must not come into contact with 
the skin, as this can cause burns.

•  Do not cover.
•  Do not expose to direct sunlight 

for long periods.

•  Do not place or store near other 

heat sources or in a damp 
environment.

Cord, plug and mains socket

•  Keep cord away from hot objects 

and open flame.

•  Check regularly that neither the 

cord nor plug is damaged and do 
not use if there is any damage, or 

if it has been dropped on the floor, 

dropped in water or damaged in 
any other way. 

•  If the appliance or plug is 

damaged, it must be inspected 
and if necessary, repaired by 
an authorised repair engineer, 
otherwise there is a risk of electric 
shock. Never try to repair the 
apparatus yourself.

•  Remove the plug from the socket 

before cleaning.

•  Avoid pulling the cord when 

removing the plug from the socket. 
Instead, hold the plug. 

•  Do not wind the cord around the 

apparatus.

•  Check that it is not possible to 

pull or trip over the cord or any 
extension cord.

USING THE APPLIANCE

•  Place the plug (5) in the socket. 

The power indicator () will come 
on. The appliance will not start to 
heat up yet.

•  Press the on/off button () when 

you are ready to use it.

o  The heat display (4) will come on 

and show "00".

o  The ceramic hotplates (6) will 

quickly heat up to operating 
temperature.

•  Set the desired temperature by 

pressing the setting button (2).

o  The temperature can be set 

between 00 and 80 ºC in 
intervals of 0 degrees.

o  When setting or changing the 

temperature, wait 0-20 seconds 
while the appliance heats up or 
cools down to the temperature 
selected.

•  Use the appliance to set your hair 

as desired.
