health. Appropriate safety measures are
required. Example: Some types of dust
are carcinogenic. Always wear a suitable
safety mask.
Tips
• Small hob cutters/point grinders: high
speed
• Large hob cutters/point grinders: low
speed
• For fine work, engraving etc. hold the
machine like a pen (fig. 7).
• For rougher work with the wire brush
etc. hold the machine like a hammer
shaft (fig. 8).
• When drilling, hold the machine
vertically downwards (fig. 9).
• The clamping shafts A, B and C
(appendix) are easier to hold when
inserting the tools if they are pushed
into the hole in the universal wrench.
10 – Annex: Insertable tools
CAUTION! The speeds stated are
guidelines only. Make the final
setting after a few trial runs.
Cutter disks and saws (Fig. 10)
For use in model-building and
electronics (motherboards).
To insert, use the clamping shaft (A)
with screw. Loosening and tightening of
the screw with the universal wrench (9).
Grinding cylinders and disks (Fig. 11)
For fine grinding or sanding work on
rounded or small surfaces.
Push the grinding cylinder (B) onto the
clamping shaft (B). When the retaining
screw is turned, the rubber bead is
expanded thereby holding the grinding
cylinder in position. Fix the grinding disks
to the clamping shaft (A) like cutter disks.
Polishing felt (Fig. 12)
For use with standard polishing pastes
for fine polishing work, removal of
scratches from lacquered or plastic
surfaces etc.
To fit, screw the thread of the clamping
shaft (C) into the felt.
Point grinders and grinding disks
(Fig. 13)
For sharpening cutting tools, removing
sharp edges from metal and plastics.
The diamond grinder is suitable for
engraving glass.
