WITHOUT SUPERVISION.
1.1. Power Supply
1. Check if the voltage from the power supply is compatible with the one indicated on the appliance. If it does not
match contact an authorized service centre or call customer service.
1.2. Power Cables and Other Cables
Turn off your appliance when not in use.
Do not coil or pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, or use it to wrap the appliance. Keep the cord away from
hot surfaces.
Do not use this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug or if it is not working properly.
If the power cable is damaged, do not use the appliance, take it to an authorized service centre to be replaced.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not allow water to pool on your appliance, as this could be dangerous. TO AVOID DANGER OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC
SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THE APPLIANCE TO WATER OR HUMIDITY. Do not place your device under water (eg.
washing).
1.4. Cleaning
- Set the hob cool and clean it completely, as dirt can be very difficult to remove when reheated.
- Use products that are suitable for cleaning glass-ceramic hobs.
- Do not use abrasive sponges or powder detergents that could scratch the glass surface.
- Do not use oven cleaning spray, as it is very aggressive and could damage the glass surface.
- The glass-ceramic hob should not be cleaned using steam or other similar methods.
- To remove minor dirt, use hot water and a little detergent, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth or paper.
- Remove any residual detergent, as it could damage the glass when hot.
- The use of an adequate spatula for cleaning glass is recommended for severe build-ups (see figure 5).
- Warning: If plastic objects, sugar or sugary foods melt onto the hob, they should be removed while hot using a
spatula, taking care to avoid getting burnt.
1.5. General Precautions
- The installation of the appliance should be performed by qualified technical personnel knowledgeable of installation
standards and regulations.
- It is very important that this instruction manual is kept with the machine in case of transfer of ownership.
- You should supervise children at all times of use to prevent them from touching hot surfaces or remain at the
machine during operation.
- Prior to the maintenance and cleaning operations disconnect the appliance from power and wait until it is completely
cool.
- The appliance's power cord must not be replaced by the user, this should performed exclusively by qualified
technical personnel.
- In the case of repairs always contact an authorized Service Centre and demand original spare parts.
- Repairs carried out by non-competent personnel can cause damages.
- WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance (acting on the protection device from the mains), to
avoid the possibility of electric shock.
