3. Check fuse for remote control actuator, ensure
fuse is good
a. If 20 amp fuse in control enclosure box is
blown, high current draw is present
1. Possible damaged actuator, short to
ground in wiring or motor, cut or
damaged wiring or stuck butterfly valve
2. Check to ensure butterfly valve operates
correctly and does not bind or stick
3. Check actuator to ensure maximum
current draw at load does not exceed 12
Amps
4. Check/replace batteries in remote control fobs
a. Replacement batteries are: 2 each CR2016 3V
Lithium cell batteries
5. Check remote control circuit output
a. Ensure when remote control is activated the
output signal is directed to actuator
6. Repair as required
Remote Control System Specifications
• Wireless remote control - Fuse protection – 20
Amp fuse inside of enclosure, 30 to 50 yard oper-
ating range, IP65 protection rating, 2 modes of
operation; UP/DOWN (OPEN/CLOSE) (1) Push to
start/Push to stop or (2) Push and hold to operate,
release to stop
• Battery – Group 27 AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat,
spill proof, no maintenance required) 12VDC, 100
Amp Hour rating
• Solar panel – 65 Watt, 3.71 Amps, 12 VDC
monocrystalline panel.
• Solar panel charge controller - 13 VDC cut in volt-
age, 14.2 VDC cutout voltage, 8 Amp maximum
• Electric actuator – 12 VDC operation, 6” stroke,
400 pound capacity, travel speed 0.98”/second,
IP66 protection rating, 12 Amp maximum full
load current draw, 20% duty cycle, built in travel
limit switches
