IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Only use the machine in accordance with these instructions.. Familiarise yourself with the controls on the
machine and how to use them. Persons who are not familiar with these instructions must not use the
machine.

This symbol points out important safety instructions that must be observed in order to
prevent personal injury. Please read these instructions carefully before use.

WARNING

Indicates risk of personal injury or material damage if the instructions are not

followed.

IMPORTANT!

Indicates practical advice concerning proper assembly, operation or maintenance.

The blades are very sharp. Be careful when drilling a hole or replacing the blades. Fit the blade
guard after use.

Make sure the auger is securely attached to the powerhead during use.

Never carry the machine with the engine running. Always hold the handlebars when carrying the
powerhead and auger. Do not hold the auger itself when carrying it. Do not activate the throttle
control when carrying the auger as this may cause injury to your hands or body if clothing is on or
near the rotating auger.

The ice auger should not rotate when the engine is idling.

Keep all parts of your body and loose clothing away from the rotating auger.

This auger is not designed to be used as an anchoring device.

Do not allow children to use the machine. Never allow anyone who has not received appropriate
instructions to use the machine.

Never use power equipment when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.

Regularly check that all screw connections are correctly tightened.

Switch off the engine and allow it to cool, and remove the spark plug lead before carrying out any
repairs.

The muffler and surrounding parts can get very hot during use – risk of burn injuries.

Never start the engine indoors or in an enclosed area. Engine exhaust fumes contain carbon
monoxide, an odourless and deadly gas.

If the ice auger becomes jammed in a hole, turn the engine off and allow it to cool before
attempting to remove it by hand.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENGINE

WARNING!

 Risk of carbon monoxide poisoning

Exhaust fumes from combustion engines contain carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is a deadly,
colourless, tasteless, and odourless gas which may be present even if you do not smell or see any engine
exhaust fumes. Levels of carbon monoxide, which can be deadly, can be present for days in an enclosed
area that has poor ventilation. Any level of carbon monoxide, if inhaled, can cause headaches,
drowsiness, nausea, dizziness, confusion and eventually death. If you experience any of these
symptoms, seek fresh air and medical attention immediately.
