SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
Failure to follow all the instructions below can result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
The term "power tool" in all warnings below refers to your mains-powered (corded) power tools. Save
these instructions.
Preparations
Never allow children, or persons who have not read and understood these instructions, to use the
machine. There may be local regulations for the minimum age of persons allowed to use the
machine.
Do not use the machine when other persons, especially children, or pets are in the vicinity.
The user is responsible for any accidents or risks to other persons or property.
Always wear ear and eye protection. Always wear heavy-duty shoes and long trousers when using
the machine. Do not use the machine if you are barefoot or wearing open shoes.
Carefully inspect the area where the machine is to be used and remove any stones, wires, bones
or other foreign objects.
Always check the machine before use to make sure that the roller and screws are not worn or
damaged. Always replace the complete roller or screws if they are worn or damaged to avoid
imbalance.
Wear eye protection when using machines with ejection from the rear and exposed rear rollers,
when operating without a catcher.
Use
Only use the machine in daylight, or in good artificial lighting.
Do not use the machine in wet grass.
Make sure you always have a good footing on sloping ground.
Operate carefully. Never run with the machine.
Work across slopes, never up or down.
Always be very careful when changing direction on slopes.
Do not use the machine on steep slopes.
Be very careful when going backwards or pulling the machine towards you.
Stop the roller if the machine has to be tilted when moving it over an ungrassed surface, or when
moving to and from the area to be scarified.
Switch on the motor carefully according to the instructions. Keep your feet away from the roller.
Never use the machine if the guards or covers are dismantled or damaged. Never use the machine
without the safety devices fitted, e.g. ejector guide and/or catcher.
Do not tilt the machine when starting the motor, unless this is necessary to start it. If the machine
has to be tilted, do not tilt it more than is absolutely necessary. Lift up the end furthest away from
the user.
Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. Always keep a safe distance from the ejector
opening.
Never lift or carry the machine when the motor is running.
The machine is not intended to be used by children.
WARNING:
Do not use the machine if the power cord is damaged.
Do not use the machine if the power cord or plug is damaged or touch the cord before it is pulled
out - electrical hazard.
Pull out the power cord and wait for all moving parts to stop completely before touching the roller.
Keep the power cord away from the roller - electrical hazard.

Before removing a blockage
Before checking, cleaning or doing any other work on the machine
If you hit a foreign object
If the machine vibrates excessively.
