GENERAL SAWING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
• Always check before using that the
power switch is working properly and
returns to switched off position when
released.
• Use a suitable detector to check there
are no electric cables, gas and/or water
pipes in the work area before working
on walls, ceilings or floors.
• Check that the workpiece is firmly fastened
so that it cannot move during the work.
• Use a suitable blade for the job.
• Check that the blade cannot come in
contact with an object or surface behind
the workpiece.
• Mark out the sawing line. Use coolant
when sawing metal.
• Press the power switch to start the
product and allow it to reach maximum
stroke rate before the blade makes
contact with the workpiece.
• Do not force the product. Rest the shoe
firmly against the workpiece when sawing.
Apply just enough pressure for the blade to
work through the workpiece. Reduce the
pressure when the blade comes near the
end of the cut.
• The stroke rate should be adjusted to the
workpiece. Use a lower stroke rate for
hard materials such as metal and a higher
stroke rate for softer materials.
• Remove any nails, screws and other metal
objects from the workpiece before sawing.
• Rest the shoe against the surface of the
workpiece and move the blade through
the workpiece with uniform pressure.
• Release the power switch immediatly if the
blade jams or fastens. Open the cut with a
suitable tool and pull out the blade.
