3 Operation
This is how to do it:
1.
Switch on the device using the
ON/OFF
button
. The
selector switch
is in the fever measurement position (top).
The set reference location is displayed by a corresponding
flashing symbol,
(mouth),
(armpit) and
(anus).
2.
Wait until the °C symbol flashes, indicating that the
thermometer is ready.
3.
Move the switch
down and then up again. The set symbol
flashes, while the other ones remain unchanged.
4.
Press the
START
button
to switch between the three
symbols. As soon as the change is registered, you will hear a
short beep.
5.
The selected symbol flashes. The setting is completed after 5
seconds and the thermometer is ready for the measurement.
3.2 Measuring body temperature
NOTES
For the most accurate readings:
• The thermometer and the patient must remain in a
stable environment for at least 30 minutes before
measuring the temperature.
• Do not take a baby’s temperature during or directly
after breastfeeding.
• Do not use the thermometer in damp environments.
• Patients should not drink or eat directly before or
during a measurement, and they should avoid any
physical exertion.
• Clean the area where you are taking the temperature
and remove any dirt, hairs or sweat before moving the
sensor
to the measuring position.
• Do not remove the thermometer from the measuring
position until it has beeped to signal the end of the
reading.
• If the sensor
becomes dirty during or after a reading,
clean it with a cotton bud dipped in cleaning alcohol
before putting the thermometer away.
• Always take the temperature in the same place, because
the readings will vary in different environments.
