CD O
PERATION
The unit can play audio CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs.
`
Set the function switch to the CD position.
Insert CD
`
Open the CD compartment by lifting the lid at the
OPEN
notch.
`
Insert a CD with the labelled side facing up. Ensure that the CD snaps in place in
the centre.
The CD track display will show the total number of tracks after a few seconds
(e. g.
09
).
If no CD is inserted, „
00
“ will be displayed.
`
Close the CD compartment. The display shows the total number of tracks on the
CD.
PLAY, PAUSE, STOP
`
Press
PLAY/PAUSE
to start the CD. The display will show the current track
number and the PLAY/PAUSE indicator will light up .
`
Press
PLAY/PAUSE
again to interrupt the playback. The PLAY/PAUSE indicator
blinks. Press
PLAY/PAUSE
again to resume playback.
`
Press
STOP
to stop the playback. The unit is in the STOP mode.
If you accidentally open the CD compartment during playback, the rotating
CD will stop. Do not touch the CD whilst it is still rotating!
Track and fast search – SKIP
`
To skip to the next/previous track, press SKIP UP or SKIP DN, respectively. If you
press SKIP DN during playback, the player will skip to the beginning of the cur-
rent track.
`
Hold
SKIP UP/SKIP DN
for a few seconds during playback to prompt a quick
search within the current track.
REPEAT functions
`
Press the
REPEAT
key once before or during playback. The
REPEAT LED
blinks.
The current track is repeated endlessly.
`
Press the
REPEAT
key twice before or during playback. The
REPEAT LED
lights
up permanently. All of the tracks on the current CD are repeated endlessly.
`
Press the
REPEAT
key a third time to switch off the function. The
REPEAT LED
goes out.
