Troubleshooting–television
No picture or sound
• Make sure the power cord is properly connected to the power
outlet.
• Make sure the main power switch (located beside the AC inlet) is
in the ON position.
• Make sure you pressed the POWER or SOURCE buttons (including
TV, AV, SV, Component Video (YPbPr), VGA/DVI) on the remote
control or on the LCD TV front panel. The power indicator turns
blue.
• Make sure the source you selected is properly connected to the
LCD TV.
• Check the picture brightness and contrast settings in the
onscreen menu.
• Check the volume level.
Picture is normal but
no sound
• Make sure sound is not set to MUTE.
• Increase the volume.
• Make sure the audio source is properly connected to the LCD TV.
Picture is black and white
• Make sure the equipment you connected provides the signals
that conform to the same standard (NTSC).
Poor reception
• Make sure the antenna is properly connected to the LCD TV.
• Check the direction and location of the antenna. An indoor
antenna will result in poor reception.
Picture is too bright
or dark
• Check the picture brightness and contrast settings in the
onscreen menu.
TV is locked
• Make sure the child lock password is correct.
• If you forget the password, press the MENU button on the touch
screen of the universal remote control and select ADVANCED;
using the
buttons on the touch screen of the universal
remote control, highlight FACTORY RESET and press the
button
select YES. This resets the LCD TV settings to their factory-default
values.
