Connecting a digital audio receiver

Although your receiver receives the signals digitally it has to convert them first
to analogue signals for traditional HiFi systems. This may affect the quality
somewhat. This loss of quality does not occur for HiFi systems that have a
digital input.

Connecting to a digital SPDIF-COAXIAL output

If you want to connect an amplifier or Dolby Surround decoder with digital
input, you do so as follows:
