Using the appliance for the fi rst time
21
− If the area to be cleaned is covered with coarse dirt, add one or two drops of
non-foaming, pH-neutral detergent to the water.
− Clean the fi ller opening and closing cap of the clean
water tank with a cloth so that the tank always
remains clean and closes tightly.
Do not fi ll the water tank with distilled or demineralised water, as the
conductivity of these types of water is not high enough to enable a water
level measurement. The wiper robot signals an empty tank in this case.
Attaching the water tank
− Guide the water tank onto the main unit.
− Make sure that the retaining pins of the main unit slot
into the recesses on the water tank.
− Slowly lower the water tank.
− Press the water tank gently onto the main unit until it
latches into place.
Inserting batteries in the remote control
− Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
− Insert two 1.5 V batteries of type AAA and observe the polarity shown in the
battery compartment.
