Using the stabiliser
The stabilizer enables better recordings in poor light conditions; the
risk of blurred recordings is reduced.
Press the Image Stabiliser button

Using flash
If the light is insufficient to taking a photo the integrated flash will
provide the required extra light.
You will select the following flash settings by pressing the Flash button
repeatedly:
AUTO: The flash will be activated automatically if the
recording conditions require additional lighting.
With pre-flash before the actual flash, to avoid red-
eye. The camera will recognize the brightness of the
subjects and will only flash if necessary.
Permanent flash
‘Slow Sync’: The flash will be synchronized with a
slow shutter time.
Flash always off.
The flash only works in the single and auto-release mode. It cannot be
used during photo sequences or for video recordings.
The use of the battery is increased by the use of the flash. The flash will
need longer to load, if the battery is almost empty.
