16. Using the alarm
The device features an alarm which can be used to wake you up in DAB, FM, USB or
Bluetooth mode.
16.1. Setting the alarm
If you want to be woken up by the radio, first select a radio station (“11. Radio
mode” on page 41) and then turn the radio off by pressing
.
In standby mode, press the
ALARM
button to activate the backlight:
Press and hold down the
ALARM
button until the alarm time flashes in the dis-
play.
Use
or
to set the hours and then press
ALARM
to confirm.
Use
or
to set the minutes and then press
ALARM
to confirm.
Use
or
to set the operating mode:
–
DAB MODE
– Alarm from DAB radio,
–
FM MODE
– Alarm from FM radio,
–
AUX MODE
– Alarm from an externally connected device,
–
USB MODE
– Alarm from a USB stick plugged in,
–
BUZZER
– Alarm by an alarm tone.
Confirm the setting by pressing
ALARM
.
16.2. Activating/deactivating the alarm
In standby mode, press the
ALARM
button to activate or deactivate the alarm:
When the alarm is switched on, a bell symbol appears in the display. Even when the
alarm is switched off, previously set times and settings are retained.
16.3. Stopping the alarm
When the alarm sounds, you can stop it immediately by pressing the
ALARM

17. Cleaning
Before cleaning, pull the plug out of the mains socket. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean
the device. Do not use chemical solutions or cleaning agents because these may
damage the device's surface or the labels on it.
