If there is no disc inserted or if the disc cannot be read (e.g. photo CD,
DVD, etc.) the display will read

Do not open the CD compartment while the disc is still playing or rotat-
ing. Press
S T O P
first.
To remove a CD, take it by the sides and press down on the disc
holder at the same time.
Connecting and disconnecting USB sticks
CAUTION!
In order to avoid damage to the device, do not use a USB extension cable and
do not connect the device directly to a PC via the USB connection.
The USB connection is only designed for use with USB memory sticks, other ex-
ternal storage media such as external hard drives cannot be operated via the
USB connection.
USB sticks can be plugged into the socket provided on the top.

selector switch to the function

Unplug the USB stick to remove it.
Inserting and removing SD/MMC memory cards
SD/MMC memory cards can be inserted in the slot provided on the top.
