Shooting mode
For certain shooting situations or subjects, you can use the preset
shooting modes. This eliminates the necessity for making manual
settings.
After you have made your selection, the selected mode (with the
exception of voice recording mode) is added in the top position on
“My Mode” in the Functions menu.
The following shooting modes are available:
Icon
Settings
Meaning
AUTOM.
The settings for shooting an image
are configured automatically.
PROGRAM
The camera automatically selects
the appropriate settings, e.g. expo-
sure time and f-stop values
ADAPT SCENE
The camera analyses the shoot-
ing conditions and automatically
switches to the right scene mode.
For the following special types of shot, certain settings cannot be
changed (e.g. flash and macro) as they are preset for the type of
shot.
PORTRAIT
Reduces background focus and fo-
cuses on the centre.
