Any operations with this appliance 
must only be performed as 
described in this manual. 

Keep these operating instructions 
close at hand in order to to give 
them to the new owner if you 
transfer this appliance to someone 
else!

NOTE!

This signal word warns of possible 
damage, or provides useful 
additional information regarding 
assembly or operation.

Intended use

The charger can charge 
2 or 4 AAA or AA NiMH 
batteries.

The charger cannot be 
used to charge alkaline, 
rechargeable alkaline, 
carbon zinc or lithium 
batteries.

The appliance is intended 
for private use only, 
and not for industrial/
commercial use.

LED display

The charger has an LED display, 
which displays the charging 
status:

Orange LED -> Charging is in 
process.

Green LED -> Charging is complete.

Automatic safety 
shutdown

The charger has four safety 
shutdown timers, which prevent 
damage to the batteries or 
appliance.

Packaging

Your appliance is packed in 
protective packaging in order to 
prevent damage during shipping. 
The packaging is raw material, 
and can thus be used again, or 
can be recycled.

disposed of with normal

− When inserting 

batteries, insert them 
with the correct 
polarity (+/-).

 

− Always charge exactly 

two or four AAA or AA 
batteries at the same 
time in the charger‘s right 
or left charging bays.

 

− Never charge size AAA 

and AA batteries on 
top of each other in the 
charging bay.

 

− Do not throw batteries 

into a fi re.

 

− Do not pierce batteries 

or take them apart.

If charging 4 rechargeable 
AA or AAA batteries, put the 
batteries into the charging 
compartments.  The charger 
will automatically use 
the appropriate charging 
voltage.

 

Make sure that the 
rechargeable batteries are 
labeled NiMH!

 

Only use batteries of the 
same (AAA/HR03 or AA/
HR06) and the same capacity.

 

During charging, never use 
rechargeable type AAA and 
AA batteries together!

 

Check the polarity before 
inserting the batteries into 
the charging compartments.

 

Flip up the plug on the back 
of the charger.

 

Plug the charger into a 
standard 120V 60Hz wall 
socket.

These appliances can 
be used by children 
ages 8 and older, and by

If the batteries have been charged 
for 12 hours, then the charger 
automatically switches off and the 
LED indicator turns green.

Voltage protection:

The charger detects the voltage 
of the fully charged batteries, and 
automatically switches off. The LED 
indicator turns green.

Short circuit protection:

The charger does not turn on 
when batteries with a short circuit 
are detected.  The LED indicator 
remains off.

Polarity protection:

If you insert the batteries into the 
appliance with incorrect polarity, 
this is detected by the device, 
and it will not turn on. The LED 
indicator remains off.

Batteries may overheat or 
explode when charging 
the wrong batteries or 
mixing battery types.

rechargeable AA or 
AAA NiMH batteries in 
this charger.

carbon or lithium 
batteries.

batteries, insert them either 
the two left or  or two right 
side charging compartments.
