Battery Replacement
The battery in this equipment is a sealed construction type and therefore
maintenance free
.
Water or electrolyte
does not
have to be added to this component. Batteries have a limited
life and must be replaced when they fail to provide adequate power to the lamp or hold a
charge after alternating current (wall outlet) recharging. The typical life expectancy of the
battery is from 3 to 5 years depending on use.
If the battery needs to be replaced, a
qualified service technician who is responsible for the use and maintenance of the
equipment must perform the servicing operation. Medical Illumination International,
Inc. does not warranty any damage or harm as a result of improper installation or
maintenance.

Be prepared to provide the Model No., Serial No. and the exact problem experienced with
the equipment.
To remove the battery, refer to the following the procedures:
1. Unplug the power cord from the alternating current power source. Disconnect the
output power cord attached to the upright pole from DC voltage receptacle.
2. Remove the 7 cover mounting screws from the metal enclosure.
3. Disconnect the grey battery connector separating the battery from the internal circuitry
(Figure 4).

Locate and remove the battery clamp by removing the top ¼” hex nut and lock washer
on each side of the battery.
