Figure 3-1.3 shows the AC chassis and redundant AC Power Supplies. There is also a Dc
chassis available that requires DC power supplies (DC Power Supplies also shown).

J1 – J12 User Front Board
Slots These slots are for the Trunk and Channel Service front boards.
Refer to Figure 3-3.1 on page 3-3.2 for MD8000 slot bandwidth
allocation for communications with the SWCNT-9 board.
Slot J12 is the preferred slot for a Trunk card.

No blank panels are required for the front
board empty slot positions. However, to
maintain the integrity of the chassis cooling
system the Front Cover should be installed
after the system has been configured.
All LEDs are located on the Power Supply,
user front Boards, and Fan Modules. Refer
to the applicable sections of this manual for
their LED locations and descriptions.
