otherwise with the FTP server while the data transmission is still running. The passive mode is used if
the client connected to a router or is protected by a firewall.
DDNS Server (Dynamic Domain Name System):
If the system uses dynamic addressing like with PPPoE a DDNS is able to update domain name entries in real
time. For this purpose it makes sense to use a DNS-host-service which works with DDNS and offers a database
for the IP-addresses of all clients. To enable the system to communicate with a DDNS the following data must
be entered.
•
Host Name: Here enter the name of the website of the DNS-host-service
•
Account ID: Here enter the user name with which you log in to your DDNS server.
•
Password: Here enter the password with which you log in to your DDNS server.
•
Status: Here the current state of the connection to the DDNS server will appear automatically.
SNTP Server (Simple Network Time Protocol):
To keep the clock time of the IP-camera up-to-date the system can communicate with a SNTP server. To make
this possible enter the following data.
•
IP/Host: Here enter the IP-address of the SNTP servers.
•
Time Zone: Choose from the drop-down-menu the time zone your IP-camera is in.
To confirm the adjustment press [SUBMIT] or [CANCEL] in case of faulty insertion.
3.4 Watching the transmission of the IP-camera (LiveView):
If all adjustments are made correct you can watch the transmission of the IP-camera by pressing [LIVEVIEW].
With the software REAL TIME IP-CAM MONITORING SYSTEM it is possible via Internet either for a single PC or
with help of a router to all PCs in a LAN.
