Main Menu Functions
Passcode
Set the Passcode to make the OSD menu accessible only when the passcode is entered (Figure 23).
IMPORTANT
If you choose to use the Passcode function of the monitor,
it is very important to write down the passcode numbers
and keep in a safe place for future access.
There is no
reset button for the passcode.
Access the Passcode. Use the Menu knob to change the four-digit code.
Press the Menu knob to select a digit cell, turn the knob right or left to select a number 0 - 9, press the Menu
knob again to save that digit selection. Repeat for the remaining three digit cells. Once all four digits are
selected, press OK button on the screen to save the Passcode.
NOTE:
To access the OSD menu, you must enter the Passcode. Once the passcode is entered, you will have
temporary access to settings and the DVR menu, and once you exit the OSD menu (or after 20 seconds of
inactive use), the system will reset the Passcode lock. To deactivate the Passcode lock, enter the Passcode to
access the OSD menu, press the Passcode lock icon, enter the Passcode and press OK button on the screen.
The Passcode lock is now deactivated.
NOTE:
The sun icon on the Passcode screen (see Figure 23) allows the user to adjust the brightness of the
monitor through the dimmer function without entering the passcode.
