5. Speaker Output Connections
Standard 1/4" female connections provide speaker output. Two connectors are provided for convenience
when connecting two speaker systems, and are internally tied together. Note that the minimum
impedance load that this amplifier can accept is 4
Ω
. Lower impedance loads will cause permanent damage
to the amplifier, not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
To explain clearly:

speakers – No more than two may be connected to this amplifier
4
Ω
speakers – No more than one may be connected to the amplifier
16
Ω
speakers – No more than four may be connected to the amplifier
Failure to follow the above guidelines will cause permanent damage to the amplifier, which will not be
covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
If questions exist regarding speaker connections and limitations, contact MCM Electronics Technical
Support Department.

Sends line level signal from the master mix to an external effects processor
Operating the amplifier
•
If this is the first time operating the amplifier, make certain that all volume adjustments are set to
the minimum position (5, 6, 12 and 16) and the power switch is in the OFF position
•
Be certain that the amplifier is connected to a suitable power source and speakers and all desired
input devices are properly connected
•
Turn the amplifier power switch to the ON (up) position
•
The blue LED (front panel #2), green LED's in each equalizer control and the MP3 player display
backlight should all light
•
Adjust the master volume control (#5) to the mid position
•
If microphones are connected, speak into the microphone and adjust the appropriate volume
control until the mic volume reaches the desired level
•
If a line level device is connected to the Tape input. adjust the CD/Tape control until the volume
reaches the desired level
•
Adjust the Bass and Treble controls to the desired level
•
If a USB thumb drive is inserted into the appropriate slot, the amplifier will automatically begin
playing the first music file (see details below)
•
If no thumb drive is inserted, the display will show "No Udisk – Please Add Udisk"
•
If a thumb drive is inserted, an abbreviated file name, file number and total track time will appear
on the LCD display
•
While audio is played through he amplifier, the LED output indicator (#4) will show relative power
output
Operating the MP
3
Player
The built in media player is compatible with all MP
P
3
and WMA audio files, and will play them automatically
when media is inserted into the player. It should be noted however that certain MP
3
files downloaded from
subscription services may contain copyright protection that will prevent them from being played in this
unit. Also, this unit will not read iTunes files downloaded for the iPod. As with any MP
3
player, the most
reliable source for music files to play on this amplifier is MP
3
or WMA files created from ripping CD's or
copying vinyl on a standard PC.
Operation
•
Make certain the amplifier power switch is in the ON position
•
Make certain the MP
3
volume level (#16) is fully counterclockwise
•
Insert a USB thumb drive containing desired music files
•
Turn the MP
P
3
player on by rotating the AUX volume control clockwise to the 9 o'clock position
•
The display will show 001 and begin playing the first song
•
Adjust the volume level (#16) to the desired level
•
The MP
P
3
player will sequentially play each song and stop after finishing the last
•
Songs may be manually repeated or skipped using the PREV and NEXT buttons
