Check Heater Temperature

Incorrect heating temperature can result in
questionable fusion joints. Check heater plates
periodically with a pyrometer and make
necessary adjustments.

Check heater surface temperature.
Refer to the pipe manufacturer's recommendations for proper
heater temperature.

IMPORTANT:

The dial thermometer on the heater indicates internal

temperature which varies from the actual surface temperature.
The dial thermometer can be used as reference once the surface
temperature has been verified.
