8. Connection of the Safety Lock
To warrant secure operation, the laser is equipped with a plug connection for an external safety lock. This plug
connection may be connected, e.g. to an emergency stop switch or a door contact.
The laser must never be operated without this kind of external safety measure. Before operation
please ask an expert how operation of this laser is to be secured.
• Connect the enclosed plug connection to the connections of the external safety lock.
• Plug the plug connection into the REMOTE (6) connection and secure the connection with a cap nut.
• The laser irradiation is released with the contact open. The laser irradiation is deactivated with the contact closed.
9. Commissioning/Replacing the Remote Control Battery
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Remove the battery when the device is not in use for extended periods of time.
Do not leave any batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries may cause alkali burns if they come in contact with the skin.
Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
Do not short-circuit or dismantle the battery or throw it into fire. It also must not be recharged.
Danger of explosion.
If required, remove the insulation pad in the battery compartment of the remote control. It protects the
battery from discharge during transport.
• If the remote control no longer functions properly or the range reduces strongly, the battery is discharged and must
be replaced with a new one of the same type.
• Unlock the safety lever and pull the battery holder out at the rear of the remote control.
• Remove the discharged battery and insert a new 3 V-Lithium button cell CR2025. The correct polarity is indicated
on the rear of the remote control.
• Insert the batteries in the remote control again. The safety lever must latch cleanly.
