10. Maintenance
Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning and maintenance and let it cool down.
Check the technical safety of the fog machine regularly, e.g. for damage to the connection cables or to the casing.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately and make
sure it is not unintentionally operated.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the device, remote control or cables
• the device no longer works
• the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time
• after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
a) Cleaning
The device is maintenance-free and you should therefore never open it. If you open it, the guarantee will expire.
Only clean it with a soft, dry cloth or a brush. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the
surface of the casing could be damaged.
The fog machine can be cleaned with a moist cloth on the outside. Never use aggressive cleaning agents, chemical
solutions or scouring agents as the paint coating could be damaged.
Avoid deposits and residue in the fog fluid channels by using a special fog machine cleaner. Observe the instructions
for cleaning liquid.
b) Fuse Replacement
If you have to replace the fuse, ensure that you only use fuses of the specified type and rated current (see “Technical
Data”) as a replacement
Never repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket and disconnect the low-voltage cable from the POWER (5) mains
connection of the device.
• Using a suitable screwdriver, carefully lever out the fuse holder of the mains connection with the defective fuse.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the indicated type.
• Carefully push the fuse holder with the new fuse back into its position at the mains connection of the device.
• After this, you can reconnect the device to the mains and take it into operation.
