Handling
• Never plug in the device immediately if it has been brought in from a cold area to a
warm area. The developing condensation could possibly destroy the device.
Let the switched-off/unplugged device come to room temperature. Wait for
the condensation to evaporate.
• The power plug may never be plugged or unplugged with wet hands.
• Never pull on the power cable when removing from the outlet; always pull the plug
from the power outlet using the intended grip surfaces on the plug.
• Pull the power plug from the outlet during longer periods of disuse.
• In order to ensure proper ventilation, an area of 5 cm must be kept around the
housing. Additionally, air circulation may not be obstructed by objects such as
newspapers, tableclothes, curtains, etc.
• Always pull the power plug from the outlet during thunderstorms.
• Do not listen to music at an excessive volume over longer periods of time.. This
may damage your hearing
Tips for handling CDs
• Only hold onto a CD by it’s edges. Do this to avoid fingerprints and soiling the sur-
face.
• Only hold CDs with clean hands.
• Should a CD become dirty, wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center to the
outside. Strictly avoid circular motions with cleaning. Do not use cleaning solutions.
• For stubborn marks, please use a standard commercial CD cleaner (not LP clean-
er) and follow the instructions accordingly.
• Do not write on your CDs or apply stickers, etc. to them.
• After playing, store your CDs with the supplied CD cases.
• Avoid storing CDs in direct sunlight, heat and humiditiy.
Maintenance
Regularly inspect the mechanical safety of the CD player, i.e. for damage to the pow-
er cable or housing.
If it has been ascertained that safe operation is no longer possible, take the device
out of operation and secure it against accidental reactivation. Pull the power plug
from the outlet!

Operation
In order to ensure proper operation, carefully read this operating
manual with the safety instructions!
Before connecting the CD player, switch off the device and all con-
nected devices and disconnect the device from the power supply.
When changing the wiring of the device, proceed likewise.
Set-up
The CD player should be set up on a level surface. The inclination of the housing may
not exceed 15° or the CD will not be optimally read.
Make sure when selecting the setup location that direct sunlight,
vibrations, dust, heat, cold und moisture are avoided. There may
be no powerful transformers or motors in the vicinity of the device.
Only operate the CD player on a stable surface that is not heat-
sensitive.
Ensure a stable setup so that serious accidents from falling can
be avoided.
Do not drill or screw any extra fasteners into the housing of the
device for mounting purposes; dangerous voltages can be con-
tacted as a result.

Considering the variety of lacquers and polishes used with furniture, it is not
impossible that the feet of the device could leave visible marks on furniture
due to a chemical reaction. For this reason, the device should not be set on
furniture surfaces without suitable protection.
