The supplemental
restraint system has two
basic
subsystems:

and diagnostic module

the dashboard, but
they arc out of sight

How .Air Bags Work
When
ai

bag
crash sensors detect a greater
than moderate frontal impact. an electrical
current is sent to
the inflators.
Nitrogen gas
is produ

e
d
to intlate both bags. After the
inflation. they quickly denate.
