State of Delivery
EAS
®
-XT clutches are manufacturer-assembled, including the
finish bore and the keyway.
Torque Adjustment:
The clutch is set manufacturer-side to the torque stipulated in the
order.
If the torque is not specified by the customer on order, the clutch
is set to 75 % of the maximum torque. The torque adjustment is
stated on the Type tag (31).
Application - Operation - Function
EAS

-XT clutches are disengaging overload clutches conceived
as a positive locking 2-shaft connection.
If the set limit torque (overload) is exceeded, the clutch
disengages and separates the input and the output. A residual
torque of max. 10 % remains due to friction.
Disengagement must be recorded via a customer-side
mounted limit switch, and a signal must be given to switch
off the system.
The run-out time after disengagement
must be max. 30 seconds.
