Step 5.
Take the Coaxial Cable, and then connect the cable (F Male end) to the DA-5100.
Step 6.
Place the rubber cover to the connection of cable and antenna.
Step 7.
Connect another end of the cable (IEC-Male) to your Set-Top-Box or TV Set.
Step 8.
Switch on the TV set or both STB and TV Set.
Step 9.
Adjust the orientation of DA-5100 to get the best signal reception.
Please note:
All connections should be fixed. It is recommended that you make a
water-drop loop at the end of cable.)
Notice
For the optimal reception, Please check the following conditions:
1. Far away from sources of interference: E.g. high power consumption devices, air
conditioner, elevator, hair dryer and microwave oven.
2. Install as high as possible: To reduce signal loss due to interceptions between the antenna
and the transmission tower.

For outdoor application, you may need to get a longer coaxial cable. Please check with
your local hardware store for longer coaxial cable.

For your own protection, it is recommended to hire a certified antenna installer when you
need to install the antenna outdoor.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
1. If you can not receive digital programs as expected. Please check following conditions:
a. Check the connections. Make sure all connections are correct.
b. Check the antenna powering (coaxial cable powering) function of your STB.
DA-5100 is an active antenna. You will need to enable the antenna powering
function. (Please check you STB
’s manual for operation).
2. If non-power-inserting installation does not work smoothly or even does not function, you
can try to install the power-inserter for possible improvement. Please check with your
antenna supplier for approved power insertion kits.
3. Adjusting the direction of antenna to find the best reception angle.
4. Adjusting the antenna from vertical position to horizontal position, and try different
directions.
5. If there is no improvement or still not working after power inserter is added, please ask
for help from qualified person or your dealer.
