INTENDED USE

The Maximum

®

Low Profile Aluminum Garage Jack is designed to lift, but not to

support, one end of a vehicle with a rated capacity of up to 3 tons (2721 kg). This jack
must be used in conjunction with a pair of appropriately-rated axle stands. Never work
on, under or around a load supported only by a hydraulic jack, and never crawl under
the vehicle while placing or removing the axle stands. This jack features an automatic
bypass that prevents jack damage through over-pumping. Please read and follow these

instructions and precautions carefully.

SAFETY

•  Read all instructions, warnings, and cautions provided with and on this jack. Make sure to

understand all instructions and safety information before operating the jack.

•  Failure to heed these warnings may result in loss of load, damage to the jack, and

malfunctioning resulting in serious injury or property damage.

•  DO NOT alter this product in any way.

•  DO NOT adjust the safety valve.

•  DO NOT use if broken, bent, cracked or damaged parts are found. Any jack that appears

damaged in any way or operates abnormally should be removed from service
immediately.

•  Inspect the jack thoroughly before each use.

•  If the jack has been or is suspected to have been subjected to a shock load (a load

dropped suddenly, unexpectedly upon it), immediately discontinue use until the jack has
been checked by a qualified professional.

•  It is recommended that an annual inspection be performed on the jack and that any

damaged or worn parts, decals or warning labels be replaced with parts as specified by

the manufacturer.

•  DO NOT use the jack on surfaces that are not capable of sustaining the load. This jack is

designed for use only on hard, level surfaces capable of sustaining the load. Use on
surfaces other than those specified here can result in jack instability and possible loss of

load.

•  Centre load on jack saddle before lifting the vehicle. Off-centre loads or loads lifted when

the jack is not level may cause damage to jack, loss of load, property damage, and/or
serious injury.

•  Position lift arm only on areas of the vehicle as specified by the vehicle's manufacturer.

•  Use this product only for its intended use.

•  Place axle stands under vehicle immediately after it has been elevated on the jack.

WARNING !

DO NOT use any attachments or adaptors that are not

supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.

DO NOT make any alterations to the jack.

BEFORE FIRST USE

•  Remove all packaging, including the hook preventing the yoke (8) from moving to an

upright position (

Assembling the jack).

•  Check for transport damage and to ensure that all parts are present. Do not use the jack if

any parts are damage or missing; contact your dealer.

•  Please retain the packaging. It can be used to store the jack when not in use.

•  To familiarize yourself with the basic operation of this jack, locate and turn the release

valve after assembly (

Using the release valve).

•  Before use: Air may become trapped in the hydraulic system during transit.

•  To purge air:
  1.  Open release valve by turning handle counter-clockwise.
  2.  Pump handle rapidly 4 full strokes. This will expel air that may have entered oil

passages during transit.

  3.  Close release valve by rotating handle clockwise and pump handle.
  4.  If the lift arm is raised, jack is ready for use. If not, repeat this procedure.

•  Important: Before attempting to raise any vehicle, check vehicle service manual for

recommended lifting surfaces.
