Some tips for perfect toasting
Toasting is a combination of cooking and drying bread. As moisture levels differ from one bread
to another, toasting times can vary.
For slightly dry bread, use a lower browning setting.
For fresh bread or whole meal bread, use a higher setting.
Bread products with a very uneven surface (such as English muffins) will require a higher setting
or press the
BAGEL
button for perfect results.
Thick cut pieces of bread will take longer to toast, sometimes significantly longer, since more
moisture must be evaporated from the bread before toasting can occur.
When toasting raisin or other fruit bread, remove any loose raisins from the surface of the bread
before placing the slices into the toaster. This will help prevent pieces from falling into the toaster
or sticking on the guard wire in the slot.
FAQs and Troubleshooting Guide
Problem
Solution
The toaster is not working
1. Check the power connection and ensure the plug
is properly inserted in the outlet.
2. Check the bottom of toaster. Whether the glass
panel is fully installed well. You must ensure that
it audibly ‘clicks’ securely into place, otherwise the
toaster will not work.
Bread is stuck in the toaster
Unplug the toaster and let it cool down. Then care-
fully remove the slice or slices from the toaster. You
may need to hold the toaster over a sink and shake
it gently to help loosen stuck bread. Do not use
metal objects to remove the bread. Do not touch the
metal parts inside the toaster.
If the food was too thick, make sure to slice it a little
thinner in future.
My bread slices don’t pop up enough after
toasting
If your bread is too small to be removed from the
toaster, simply lift the toasting lever to raise the car-
riage to its uppermost position and then pick up the
bread. If you still cannot carefully take it out, unplug
the toaster and use thin, heat-resistant tongs to re-
move the bread from the toasting slot.
The toast is too dark or too light
The selected browning level is too high or too low.
Select a different setting.
The toaster emits smoke
The selected browning level is too high for the type
of bread toasted. Press the CANCEL button to stop
the toasting cycle.
Ensure the crumb tray is empty and clean. Check to
make sure no large crumbs are caught in the slot.
Turn the unplugged unit upside down over the sink
and shake.
