Care and Cleaning

WARNING!
Always disconnect the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely be-
fore disassembling, cleaning and storage.
Never immerse the toaster, cord or plug in water or other liquid for cleaning.

Never clean the inside of the toaster, as this may damage the heating elements.

Never use a metal scouring pad, abrasive materials, metal polish, harsh chemical clean-
ers or hard objects for cleaning any surface of the toaster.

Wipe the outside surfaces and the cord with a soft, dry or slightly dampened cloth or sponge and
a mild detergent.
Removes crumbs after each use.

It is important that you remove and clean the crumb tray frequently to avoid the risk of crumbs

catching fire. The crumb tray is located underneath the heating elements and can be pulled out

from the side of the toaster opposite the browning control knob.
Pull out the crumb tray completely.
Discard the crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a dry or damp cloth.
To remove stubborn sports, use nylon or plastic scouring pad dampened in soapy water and
squeezed almost dry.
Make sure the tray is completely dry before inserting it back into the toaster.
Do not put the crumb tray in the dishwasher.

The center front of the toaster has a full view glass window, which lets you monitor the toasting
progress. The inner panel of this window is removable.
Hold the toaster with one hand and lightly tilt it backwards. With the other hand, press the latch

at the underside and gently pull out the glass panel (Fig.4).

Wipe the panel clean, or wash it in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
To reinsert the glass panel, lay the toaster on its back, then hold the panel by the latch and care-
fully slide it back into the grooves at the side until it clicks securely into place.

Storage

When not in use, store the toaster in a clean, dry place. Make sure the appliance is clean and
dry, and disconnected from the power supply.
We recommend storing the appliance in the original carton, which will protect it from dust.
When storing the toaster, the power cord may be stored in the cord storage area underneath the
base. Simply wind the power cord around the hooks.
