Installation
Power Requirements
The model MT1020B power distribution hub contains an internal universal switching supply which requires input
power of single phase 100 to 264 VAC at 47 to 63 Hz. The unit contains a four port USB 2.0 hub and a power
entry module consisting of a power cord receptacle and fuse holder (see Figure 1). The fuse holder contains a
5x20 mm, 250 VAC, 3.15 A, slow-blow fuse.

Ground Requirements
To minimize shock hazard, the instrument chassis must be connected to an electrical protective earth ground.
The instrument must be connected to the AC mains through a grounded power cable, with the ground wire firmly
connected to an electrical ground at the power outlet. Any interruption of the protective (grounding) conductor or
disconnection of the protective earth ground will cause a potential shock hazard that could result in personal
injury.
Operational Temperature and Humidity
The MT1020B ATS Power Distribution Hub is designed to operate within the specified performance limits over a
temperature range extending from 0° to 50° C (-32° to 122° F) and operate at a maximum (non-condensing)
relative humidity of 90% (measured at the fan intake). The fan located on the rear panel assembly cools the
instrument by drawing air through the bottom of the instrument case, and exhausting air through the fan opening
on the rear panel. Operating the instrument outside the temperature range for extended periods will result in
degradation of electrical performance and eventual malfunction.
NOTE:
Because the MT1020B is fan cooled, it must be installed in a location that allows sufficient (non-
restricted) space below the instrument case for adequate circulation of air.
Connecting the Devices
The MT1020B Power Distribution Hub is designed to interface with all Maury USB controlled automated
mechanical tuners. The cable assembly required to interface with each tuner is provided with the instrument when
shipped from the factory.
