Device Based
This is more secure mode for license verification as the dongle will be connected inside the
COSEC Device, which reduces the risk of dongle loss or theft. Also the user does not need a
separate machine for the license verification in Device Based mode.
Select Device Based mode from the
Select Mode
drop-down list and configure License
Verification as shown below:

Port:
Enter the Port number of the COSEC Device by which the License Dongle
communicates with the Management Server.

MAC Address:
It is a non-editable field which displays the MAC address of the COSEC
Device. It will appear once the dongle is linked with the IP Address of the Management Server.
The configuration of license dongle must be done in the COSEC Device before configuring the
License Verification with Device Based mode.
For the configuration, Open your COSEC Device web page using the browser and login using
the credentials.
Open
Settings > Server Settings
and the following page appears on your screen:
