Before You Start – Air Tools 

Read this Owner’s Manual carefully before using the stapler. 

1. 

Read and follow all of the Important Safety Instructions at the beginning of this 

Manual. 

2. 

Inspect the air-powered tool prior to each use in order to: 

a) ensure that the proper power source and gauge of extension cord is being 

used; 

b) verify that the tool is in proper working order; 

c) verify that the air-pressure level(s) are properly set on the air compressor. 

3. 

Do not use a tool that is not in proper working order. 

4. 

Do not use oxygen, CO

2

 (Carbon Dioxide) or any other combustible or bottled 

gas to power this tool (see Figure 2). 

5. 

Do not use this tool in the presence of flammable liquids or gases. 

6. 

Keep hands and other parts of the body away from the firing head during use. 

7. 

Do not point the tool toward the operator or other people. 

8.

  NEVER 

attempt to clear a jam while the air hose is connected. 

9. 

Do not drive a fastener on top of an existing fastener. 

Types of Fasteners 

This Mastercraft® Air-powered Flooring Stapler/Nailer accepts the following size & type of fasteners: 

Flooring Staples:  15.5 gauge - 12.7 mm crown, length from 38 mm (1 1/2’’) —50 mm (2’’) 

T & L shaped cleats/nails:  16 gauge -, length from 38 mm (1 1/2’’) –50 mm (2’’). 

The use of any other type of fastener will cause the stapler to jam, and 

could lead to serious injury!
