CLEANING
Make sure to disconnect the plug from the wall outlet before any servicing is started. Always allow
the heater to cool completely. Do not pour water on or submerge any portion of heater or any
other liquid. Allow unit to completely dry before plugging the heater into a receptacle.
1.
Turn off the power switch.
2.
Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
3.
To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. You may
use a mild detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth. CAUTION: DO
NOT let liquid enter the heater.
4.
If it becomes necessary to clean the interior, first remove the heater from the mounting
bracket (see installation instructions). Then remove 4 screws from the grille. Be sure to
reattach the grille with the screws before operating heater again. Never touch the quartz
elements with bare hands. Do not use cleaners on the inside of the heater. Simply wipe any
debris with a moist cloth.
5.
Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.
Note:
• DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to
clean the heater. This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater.
• DO NOT immerse the heater in water.
STORAGE
•
After cleaning, store the heater in a cool, dry location when not in use. To prevent dust and
dirt build-up, use the original packaging to repack the unit.
