5. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.

If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use
by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discard the water. Wipe the surface with a damp
cloth.
1. Place the kettle on the flat surface.
2. To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pressing the lid release button
down. Then fill the kettle with the desired amount of water and close the lid. The water level must
be within the Min and the Max level. Too little water will cause the kettle to switch off before the
water has boiled.

3. Position the kettle on the power base.
4. Plug into power outlet. Press the switch down and the indicator will light up. The water will
start to boil. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled. If necessary, wait
30 seconds before pressing the switch again to re-boil the water. You may shut off the power
by moving the switch up or lifting the kettle from the power base at any time to stop boiling
process.
NOTE:
Use caution when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may
result in scalding. Do not open the lid as the the water in the kettle is hot.
6. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. The kettle may be stored on the
power base when not in use.
NOTE:
Always disconnect the power supply when not in use.

Notes for Power Cord:
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to
reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and
may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord;
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter
top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Notes for cord plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify
the plug in any way.
