gear boxes feature 4 contact pins on the upper side. To utilize these gear boxes for digital
operation the pins must be connected to the eMOTION XLS Sound Decoder according to the schematic below.
Very old LGB gear boxes have 3 contact pins only. These gear boxes need to be changed for digital operation.
One pin is connected to the motor and the track. This must be disconnected as
the motor and the track must be
isolated for digital operation.
