The MASSOTH eMOTION Power Buffer compensates for brief power interruptions
occurring with smaller locomotives or locomotives that have short axle center distan-
ces. The locomotive motor and special functions are powered by the buffer during
these power interruptions. The eMOTION Power Buffer provides for outstanding ope-
ration in problematic areas such as isolated track connections and switches. The du-
ration of the buffer operation depends on the electrical current load, charging status
of the buffer and the actual speed. The duration will vary between 0.5 and 2 seconds.
The eMOTION Power Buffer may be connected to any decoder that provides connec-
tions to and GND and offers a Power Buffer function. (Tested with Deco-
ders from Massoth, LGB, Lenz, Zimo)
SAFETY INFORMATION:
The eMOTION Power Buffer must never be connected directly to the track. Doing so
will lead to the destruction of the buffer and may cause damage to other com-
ponents. The eMOTION Power Buffer is designed for small locomotives with max. 1
Amp driving current.
