Advanced Features
Setting Up and Installing
The UniView application is pre-installed on the host device. If the application is not installed or incorrectly installed on the host device, see
Contacting
Masimo
on page 35.
All required equipment and setup instructions are included with the host device. Refer to the host device instructions for host device video and network
connections.
UniView software updates are installed by authorized personnel. See
Contacting Masimo
on page 35.
If the host device was damaged during shipping, see
Contacting Masimo
on page 35.
WARNING:
The software settings of the UniView host device should be completed by authorized personnel only.
UniView Software Version
To view the UniView software version:
1.
In the upper-right corner of a layout screen, click the
Options
menu
. The UniView version number release will be displayed below the
Masimo logo in the
Options
menu.
2.
Click anywhere on the screen to close the
Options
menu.
Adding a System
Masimo System(s) must be added to UniView when UniView is opened for the first time. Additional Masimo Systems can be added to UniView after first
time use.
WARNING:
The software settings of the UniView host device should be completed by authorized personnel only.
To add a Masimo System to UniView (first use of application):
1.
Open the UniView application.
2.
In the bottom-right of the
Select System
screen, click the add system icon
.
3.
In the
Add System
screen, enter the system information:
Item
Description
Name
Create a label for the Masimo System.
IP Address
Enter the Masimo System server IP address.
Note:
Contact an authorized hospital Patient
SafetyNet administrator to obtain an IP address.
Choose System Type
Select either SafetyNet or Iris Gateway.
Secured Connection
Enable secured connection (toggle blue).
Client Certification (.bks)
Select the appropriate .bks file.
Password
Enter the certificate password.
