Equivalent temperature
The systems allows automatic and
manual control of the temperature
and humidity inside the passenger
compartment. The temperature set
with the controls is called “equivalent
temperature” and it corresponds to a
comfortable climate based on the
actual temperature inside and outside
the passenger compartment.
Description of controls
1) Control for setting the required
“equivalent” temperature
Sets the desired temperature inside
the passenger compartment. The ”LO”
and ”HI” functions (the minimum and
maximum temperatures respectively)
are at the outermost positions.
2) Air distribution control
This performs the following functions
according to its position:
AUTO air distribution is automatically
selected by the system
Activates the windshield and side
window demisting and/or defrosting
function.
-
Air flow towards the windshield
and side windows.
Distribution of the air flow
between the windshield/side windows
and the lower part of the passenger
compartment.
Main air flow towards the lower
part of the passenger compartment
and secondary air flow towards the
windshield/side windows.
Distribution of the air flow
between the vents: on the upper
centre, centre and sides of the
dashboard and the lower part of the
passenger compartment.
Air flow towards the vents: on the
upper centre, centre and sides of the
dashboard.
3) System deactivation and fan speed
adjustment control
Turning the control to the left or the
right respectively decreases or
increases the fan speed and therefore
the amount of air blown into the
passenger compartment, thereby
maintaining the equivalent
temperature requested.
AUTO fan speed is adjusted
automatically by the system.
OFF the air-conditioning system is off
and OFF appears on the display.
